Appointments with an ASC Tutor

• Students can schedule appointments with an ASC Tutor in Writing, Math/Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Business/Accounting/Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, and French
• Online, In-Person, and E-Tutoring (Writing) options
• Individual and group options

Academic Coaching

• Focused on long-term development and skill sets: time management, organization, study skills, accountability, achieving balance, etc.

Drop-In Tutoring

• No appointments are required to receive this type of support. Unlike scheduled individual appointments, drop-in tutoring is on a first come first served basis. Our tutors rotate between students providing support where needed. Students can either get quick questions answered or work independently on their assignments with some guidance. Drop-In Tutoring subjects vary by semester, so students can click here to see the current drop-in tutoring schedule. 

24/7 Tutoring

• Students can connect online with 24/7 Tutoring via Blackboard. Students can click here to learn how to connect with a tutor. Students are allotted 8 hours per month of 24/7 Tutoring

Workshops and Webinars

• Various workshops and webinars are offered each semester; some topics include study skills, writing, statistics, test prep, etc.

Getting started?

• First time making an appointment? Click here for our quick start guide.
• BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL after you register to activate your account.
  
• White time blocks in the schedule indicate available tutoring times. 
• Modify or delete your appointment by returning to the schedule and clicking on the appointment.

 Good to know:

• Select the discipline (Writing, Math, Business, etc.) you need from the drop down menu at the top of the schedule.
• Not all tutors tutor all classes! Choose a course focus from the "Limit To" drop down menu at the top of the schedule to see which tutors can help you.
• Don’t see the class you need? Contact the ASC at asc@laverne.edu or call us at 909.448.4342. 

 Fair warning:

• No same-day appointments! Think at least one day ahead.
• Need to cancel? Do so at least 24 hours before the appointment start time.

  • Please cancel appointments on WCOnline as soon as possible, allowing others to schedule. Cancellations must be made at least 3 hours beforehand; late cancellations are considered missed appointments as well. Arrive on time for appointments; if late, notify ASC at (909) 448-4342. Arriving more than 15 minutes late constitutes a no-show; appointments won't be extended for tardiness. Consistent lateness may result in revoked privileges.
